Rum and Rhubarb, Together At Last!

After having some high-quality/much-needed time off with our family, we were energized with ideas, and of course we had to put some of that renewed creative energy into our test kitchen. We’ve been workshopping an idea for a while, and after multiple rounds of taste-testing — our friends and family are such a supportive taste testing team! — we have just unveiled our new RHUBARB RUM PRESERVES.

Guests to our restaurant have been already been loving our strawberry-rhubarb and our raspberry-rhubarb pies for nearly five years (that’s right, our grand opening anniversary is just a few weeks away!). So, we decided we needed to celebrate all of that rhubarb love with a new treat!

We rolled out this new idea just two days ago, and these are flying off the shelf!

We’ve been playing around with the idea of different cocktails making their way into desserts: our classic Bourbon Pecan Pie, and last summer’s debut of our Paloma Pie, riffing on the tequila cocktail from Mexico. We continue to workshop more ideas, which we will be sharing with you in our restaurant soon!

But first, it’s time to serve brunch all weekend long in this beautiful Round Rock, Texas, sunshine to YOU our wonderful guests, friends, and community family!
